Terms and Conditions

Internet News Alliance (“iNA”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) has published these Terms and Conditions (“TaC”, “Terms”) to form a part of the Legal Documents herein outlined in Section 4. Each individual who is issued Press IDs/Credentials by the Internet News Alliance agrees to the following Sections:

  1. Any individual who is issued Press IDs/Credentials by the Internet News Alliance (“iNA”) shall be referred to herein as the (“Bearer”), and by applying for, or using an iNA Press ID acknowledges and agrees to the herein stated fact that being issued Press Credentials does not constitute a work contract, employment, ownership, partnership or any other official position within or on behalf of iNA.
  2. The Internet News Alliance (“iNA”), its directors, officers, agents, employees, private contractors and/or contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or circumstantial damages arising from the use, misuse and/or the inability to use the Internet News Alliance’s Press ID Cards (“ID”) and Credentials. This shall be deemed to include, but not be limited to, any and all damages for:
    • loss of revenue
    • business interruption
    • expenses and the like.
  3. The Bearer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Internet News Alliance, its directors, officers, agents, employees, private contractors and/or contributors from and against any and all losses, expenses, damages and costs including, but not limited to, reasonable legal fees resulting from any violation of this agreement (including negligent, malicious or wrongful conduct) by the Bearer or any other person using/displaying said ID.
  4. The Bearer acknowledges to having received and reviewed all of the terms and provisions, of these Terms and Conditions as well as to the following and agrees to be bound by them with equal force and effect, iNA’s:
  5. The Bearer also acknowledges and agrees that any rights and privileges granted to Bearer shall be automatically terminated if any of the herein outlined TaC shall be breached as well as any part of iNA’s other binding documents as outlined in SECTION THREE (4) of these Terms.
  6. The Bearer also agrees to and recognizes the Bearer’s own personal responsibility to return (at the Bearer’s own expense) on demand, to any representative authorized by iNA, any property of iNA at any time without hesitation. This is including, but not limited to, any and all iNA issued Press Credentials.
  7. In the event of a decision by iNA to revoke the Bearer’s Press ID/Credentials, the Bearer hereby agrees to accept any decisions by iNA as being fully binding and final regarding this and/or any other lesser disciplinary measure or action against the Bearer.
  8. Any comments, questions or concerns which the Bearer may have, are the Bearer’s responsibility to express directly, and confidentially to iNA via our contact page.
  9. The Bearer also agrees to maintain privacy in all communications with iNA and to never divulge any such communications to any third party under any circumstance.
  10. Exceptions to any term or provision shall only, and exclusively be made on a case by case basis and shall consist of a waiver waiving no more than three (3) terms or provisions at any given time, and for a determined (not indefinite) period of time, not to exceed one (1) year in length.  Said waiver shall only be valid if the Bearer obtains a properly signed, written waiver through the proper channels from iNA. Only waivers signed by one or more of the following (as outlined below) shall be considered as a valid waiver, and:
    • At least one (1) Editor-in-Chief
    • At least two (2) Directors
  11. NO OTHER iNA OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, PRIVATE CONTRACTORS, AND/OR CONTRIBUTORS ARE AUTHORIZED TO EXTEND OR GRANT WAIVERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
  12. In the event that iNA fails to enforce any right or provision of the TaC it will not be considered a waiver, abandonment, change of iNA policy, or forfeiture of iNA’s rights, policies or provisions.
  13. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of the TaC will remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute an agreement between us regarding our Website and any/all Services iNA offers, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Website and any/all Services.
  14. These Terms and Conditions may be changed or be modified at any time without prior notice, and are binding with immediate effect.
  15. It is the Bearer’s responsibility to review the TaC as well as iNA’s other binding documents as outlined in SECTION THREE (3) of these Terms and Conditions to verify any changes or modifications to any of them.
  16. Continued use of iNA’s website, or and service constitutes full agreement with any such changes. If Bearer finds any Term or Condition unacceptable, then ceasing use of any and all iNA services is the Bearer’s obligation and sole recourse.
